In-house or independent fitter?
Invariably, the place where you bought your kitchen units will have their own in-house fitting teams or recommended kitchen fitters, and there are pros and cons of using them.
On the plus side, you can be fairly sure that they know what they are doing, and that they have installed similar kitchens before. Usually, it is also easier to have any problems fixed, but make sure you check the fine print, to ensure that you know who is liable, and who you need to contact.
The downside to choosing an in-house fitter is usually the price, and typically, you’ll be able to make significant savings by shopping around.
It’s also important to remember that choosing an in-house fitting service is no guarantee of quality, and more often than not, you’ll be able to find someone local who can do the job just as well (or better).
